Library Resuming Pre-COVID-19 Hours of Operation

Beginning on Monday, June 14th, The Richards Library will be resuming its pre-COVID 19 Hours of Operation. The Library will be open Mon-Wed-Fri from 10 AM-6 PM; Tues-Thurs from 10 AM-8 PM; Sat from 9 AM-Noon and CLOSED on Sunday. We will still be following CDC rules meaning if you are FULLY VACCINATED, you DO NOT need to wear a mask; IF NOT FULLY VACCINATED, you will need to WEAR a mask. Patrons will also still need to follow Safe Distancing Protocols of 6 feet, where possible. For the time being, there will be only 2 public computers available for use; 1 hour for adults, 45 minutes for juveniles. Juveniles MUST have a permission slip signed by a parent before using any Library computer. In-house Library programs will begin at a date to be determined. If you have any questions, call the Library at 518-623-3011. It’s going to be nice to see everyone again!!!

New Hours–June 1st

Beginning June 1 our hours will be M-F 10-6.

Saturday hours will commence when staffing permits.

Masks for fully vaccinated people are not required. Masks for unvaccinated people are requested (honor system).

Beginning June 1, all services will be available, aside from in person programs.

FEMA will begin accepting applications for Funeral Assistance on Monday, April 12, 2021 through our dedicated call center.

If you had COVID-19 funeral expenses, we encourage you to keep and gather documentation. Types of information should include:

  • An official death certificate that attributes the death directly or indirectly to COVID-19 and shows that the death occurred in the United States, including the U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia.
  • Funeral expenses documents (receipts, funeral home contract, etc.) that includes the applicant’s name, the deceased person’s name, the amount of funeral expenses, and the dates the funeral expenses happened.
  • Proof of funds received from other sources specifically for use toward funeral costs. We are not able to duplicate benefits received from burial or funeral insurance, financial assistance received from voluntary agencies, government agencies, or other sources.
