There will be NO BOOK DELIVERY this Friday, November 27th, due to the Southern Adirondack Library System being closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. Normal deliveries will resume on Monday, November 30th. Thank you for your patience!

Library Extending/Adding Services

The Richards Library will be extending its services starting on Monday, November 16th, 2020.  Please read the following CAREFULLY and COMPLETELY.

Please ensure that you make any and all appointments by calling the library at 518-623-3011.  Walk-ins only apply to those patrons that are getting copies and/or sending faxes.  All patrons MUST have a face covering when in the library.  Gloves are optional.

Walk-ins for copying and faxing will be accepted Monday through Friday; M-W-F copying and faxing will be from 10 AM-5:30 PM; Tuesday and Thursday, copying and faxing will be from 10 AM-3:30 PM.  When paying for copies or faxes, please NO big bills.

Book pick-up days are still M-W-F, from 10:20 AM-5:30 PM, by appointment only.

Computer usage days are still Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM-4 PM, by appointment only.  Patrons can reserve a computer for 1 hour/person/day on those days.  Please arrive at least 5 minutes early so the staff may take your temperature and ask a few health-related questions.

Browsing will now be allowed on M-W-F, from 10:20 AM-5:30 PM, by appointment only.  The maximum amount of people that will be allowed into the library to browse will be 3 and the browsing time is limited to 15 minutesPlease arrive at least 5 minutes early so the staff may take your temperature and ask a few health-related questions.

IF, at a later date, NY State, by an Executive Order of Governor Cuomo, decides that the current health crisis has reached a level that it is necessary to suspend operations of non-essential businesses and services, which may include libraries, the Richards Library will suspend operations.  Also, if the current health situation in Warren County should see an increase in the infection rate, the library will suspend browsing until such time that it is safe again to allow patrons in to browse.
