Warren County Begins Free Van Service For Senior Citizen Errands

“The first Warren County Senior/Veterans shuttle hit the roads of Warren County this week, with six seniors from Warrensburg and Johnsburg traveling to Queensbury to run errands at local stores.

Driver Dave Taft, who works for Warren County Veterans’ Services, had the honor of being the first van driver for this new program, which is a collaboration between Veterans’ Services and Warren/Hamilton Counties Office for the Aging. Residents of Chester/Horicon and Thurman/Stony Creek are scheduled for shuttle runs next week.”

Seniors will be picked up at their homes, with service in each community twice a month as outlined below:

  • Bolton/Hague – 1st and 3rd Tuesday
  • Chestertown/Brant Lake/Horicon – 2nd & 4th Tuesday
  • Warrensburg/Johnsburg – 1st & 3rd Thursday
  • Thurman/Stony Creek – 2nd & 4th Thursday
