Do you have library materials at home and are uncertain what to do since The Richards Library is closed to the public?

First, any overdue fines are waived, starting 2/9/2026. We currently charge fines only on materials in our new and popular collections (books, DVDs, audiobooks) and circulating kits in our Library of Things collection.

If the materials belong to The Richards Library, you can keep them safe until we reopen or return them to another Southern Adirondack Library System (SALS) member library. Our materials will stay at the SALS building until our building repairs are completed.

If the materials belong to another member library in the SALS, you can keep them safe until we reopen or return them to another SALS library.
